About

In December of 2009 we bought a small farmstead of about eight acres in rural Iowa. We’re doing our best grow some veggies, raise some animals, and maintain our sanity. This blog is how we share our experiences with family and friends.

I’m happy to see your photos and read your blog. You’re living one of my life long dreams. Yes, there will be hard times, but life is like that. There will also be the times you remember with fondness and smiles. Live for those times, because they make up for all the others.

    All my best,

    Reba

I am so excited to hear more about farm life on your blog but even more excited to come visit in a few weeks! The baby chicks are adorable – what are their names 😉

We need to catch up with you two soon to see if our travel dates work into your schedule or if we should adapt.

Miss you both – all 3 of you actually!

    Mark & Lilly,

Al & I enjoy reading your blog. We love the amazing pictures that document your experiences on the farm.
Al & I wish we could have gotten a chance to talk with you at Kevin & Bethany’s wedding. We unfortunately had to get back to Minneapolis for the Twin Cities Marathon.
Take care and good luck with any upcoming projects.
